The King of All That Is KONG

Last night I sat mouth agape for 2 solid hours behind the right shoulder of Donkey Kong Champion Steve Wiebe as he blazed through the game, attempting to recapture the title that is rightly his. Unfortunately, he came up just shy of 900K points but the opportunity to witness him on the machine from level 1 through 21 was more than enough for me. What a rad guy!! This all went down at the afterparty of the screening of the doc, THE KING OF KONG at the Arclight in Hollywood last night. Had to take photos in a dark bar with my iPhone since the Canon battery decided to die right as Wiebe walked in the door....
