Ahhhh, yes.
Got up to sounds of my brother's clogged sinuses on the other couch. Drank mimosas. Played Tetris and Bust a Move on my Game Boy DS. Watched TV. Avoided my family when they watched the Steeler's game. Drank Coffee with Bailey's and vodka. Read the new Acme Novelty Library. Got Depressed. Missed people. Wathced TV. Took Polaroid Holga photos. Drank a margarita. Opened gifts. Drank a cranberry vodka. Played Catch Phrase with my family. Missed people. Drank more cranberry vodkas (5 of them). Played Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture. Lost (yeah, I know.). Am trying to go to bed. Miss my dog. Avoided going to church. Told mom i'm an atheist.
Sweet holidays.

Closed Road.
Wish I could ride the Vespa to/from work.
I miss Griffith Park in the morning.
Stupid lame-o light show.

It's about time it's that time.
Again, with no Christmas bonus in hand (I'm actually thinking about banishing that combination of words from my vocab due to the lack of it's relevant usage kinda the way western civilization got rid of "golly" and "reckon"... but I digress...).. .. . Yes again, yet another year with no Christmas bonus to aide in my holiday gift giving, I've been forced to take on some tiny odd jobs in order to pay for some gifts for the family and that damn couch for the house. I suppose it's the thought that counts but I'm bloody tired of making that excuse every year. It's fucking lame of me. And this time it's all thanks to some steep doctor's and MRI bills from my broken knee back in October. My guilt meter is so fucked. It hurts. Oy.
On a brighter and more festive note, my sister Erin arrives at the lovely Bob Hope Airport in Burbank on Friday afternoon. After a night of bar detail, I plan on dropping off Oslo at the pet boarding place and then embark for Gilbert, AZ to meet up with the rest of the Crist clan. My youngest sibling, Jonathan just turned 21 so this should be interesting. Can't wait to get sloppy and talk some shit. Weeeee.
Also on my mind is the fact that Polaroid will be no longer making film for the Polaroid back of my Holga as of January 1, 2007. Boo.
Let's laugh, eh? How about a night of Comedy at the UCB Theater on Franklin in H-wood? Comedy Death Ray's Holiday Show TONIGHT at 8:30 is gonna be pretty nuts. Check out the lineup here.

making a better home.
Been feelin' very domestic lately. Recently painted the bathroom, got some plumbing issues fixed and am now focusing on getting the rest of the house organized and furnished properly. As a Christmas present to myself, I bought a new couch to replace the 2 sad and smelly old ones in the living room. Damn, who knew a rad home could relieve stress?

We finished shooting the 2nd episode of the show I'm working on with Jonah this past Saturday. It's got some goodies! Here's a few stills:

A great friend (who I'll refer to as "Honus") flew out to LA from Philly for a week's stay last week. Yay!

Less of a drag.
That would be my little Oslo.
As for Yes Me To Death, we are in the process of finishing up a four song recording at WetandDry Studios. All analog, baby. Our first show is looking to be in January at the Scene. More info as soon as I get it.

Big Bummer of a Year.
I'm counting down the days 'til this awful year of 2006 is finished sucking my life essence out through my butt. Yeah, there were ups and downs but mostly there were downs. Lots of downs of the retarded people kind as well, let me tell you. Not only have I neglected the shit out this blog thingy but I also neglected my own artwork as the year rolled by. Relationships bit it hard too as most are left in shambles. My last visit to Philadelphia in August even proved to be shite and depressing. That place never usually lets me down. I think I drank more this summer than I had in 4 years of college. I cut almost all of my hair off. My job.... well let me just say that it's killing me faster and faster every passing day. But as far as they're concerned, I should be thrilled to have a job and be working for that company. Oddly enough, I'm broke as ever and working 2 extra freelance jobs outside of the regular 9-6. Bullocks.
Okay friends. Enough complaining (though I did need to get that out of my system). Let's look ahead to the bright glow of 2007. What kind of cool year will this be? It even looks like a rad number written on paper. Two thousand seven.
