Back From Comic Con
Whoa, what a weekend. I need to sleep for about 3 days. This year was more fruitful than last year in just about every facet.
The definate highlight of this year was the King Kong Panel/ Tenacious D show that took place in hall H for about 6500 adoring nerds. On the panel (which had already started when we strolled in) sat the unannounced Jack Black, Naomi Watts and Adrian Brody. It was some pure unadulterated magic watching the nerds ask Jack Black questions while using the word "fuck" a lot, sexually harass Naomi and completely ignore Brody. Or even worse, call him "James Brody"- and that's just what some ignoramus did. Brilliant.
Needless to say, it was all pretty damn funny and the D put on an incredible set to separately promote their new movie.
I scored quite a bit of loot this year as well-- a set of (5) "Disaster" silkscreen prints from Jordan Crane,
(2) I.W.G 8'' figures/ set of "Human Bones" (The rhino figure was in a limited edition of 50)--
and lots more junk I don't want to bore ya'll with...
