Thank You!

Muchos gracias to Eric in Philadelphia/ New Jersey for sending me that Zombies import. It has been rocking the ipod non-stop!! Now you just have to get yo ass out here to LA so I can give you that Shins 7 inch. Haha. Speaking of the Zombies, I was totally stoked to hear one of their songs in The Life Aquatic.

On another note, the Crist family has safely returned to the normal ratio per hemisphere. 5/6th here and 1/6th in Rome. Erin won't be back until later this summer, or so I hear.

Yikes.

I didn't want to be at this point so soon- looking at my clock on Sunday evening, dreading work the following morning. What the hell happened to this holiday weekend?

Been working on the new book every second I get. It's coming along well. Slowly but well. There will be a new "weekly" comic later this week. New images will start appearing in the gallery section over the next few weeks before Christmas too. Thanks for being so patient.

Ho Hum

I'm currently waiting for some music files to load into ProTools which leaves me with a few minutes of type time...

Hmmm. Thanksgiving. Again, it will be held here in LA far from the likes of any blood relatives (or family, as some may call them). Carlos and I will be breaking in our new kitchen by having the big dinner event at our house. Oh, who am I kidding, we're just having 2 other people over. It will be a day of eating and drinking heavily topped off with some bloody as hell Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Yay!
My mom and my sister made it to Rome to visit my other sister who's "studying abroad". That leaves only 3 members of the immediate Crist family on this continent for the next week.

Oop... files done. Gotta work now.

Weak.

Am I the only soul on the planet who finds the band U2 to be lame as all get out?

circle_slash_Bono

Oh wait. I hate just about everything anyway. Nevermind.

Zissou on CD...

Just got the Life Aquatic Soundtrack. It's damn good but isn't as much of a cute vintage rock compilation as the other ones are. It mirrors the film's raw nature.... And it's almost all Bowie tunes sung in Portugese accompanied by an acoustic guitar (diagetic via a character in the film).

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

You need to see this movie. You must see this movie. I'd write more about it but I'm still trying to let every amazing element settle in my head. I think I need to see it again just to completely wrap my head around it. Yeah, it's like that. Too bad it doesn't come out for another month.

I called it.

So it wasn't the crap dreams that were keeping me awake last night. No, no. It was the damn mouse chewing on something in the wall ALL FREAKING NIGHT. I'm assuming that it was wires or something else potentially dangerous to the welfare of the house. My right hand is painfully swollen from punching at the wall to try and make it stop (to no avail, of course).

Better Representation

So I'm much happier with the new comic (yes, 2 in one week). If you can't read the text, PC users: right click to zoom in, fellow Mac users: hold control and click comic to zoooooom. I'll fix this crap later. Right now I'm tired as all hell and want to go to bed. Another terribly exciting day awaits me so I musn't delay having a night full of fevered shitty dreams!! Hurrah! Woo!

Poor Representation

Okay, the new weekly comic is up in all it's crap glory. Sorry it sucks so bad. Very frustrating.

Life can be sweet...

The weekly comic has been delayed again due to the fact that I'm working on 3 simultaneously. Soon, soon.

Last Sunday night we went to the premiere party for Cartoon Network's new (not exactly animated) show called "Tom Goes To The Mayor". All the other events of that night aside, I got to see David Cross hug Bob Odenkirk and proceed to make asshole comments to each other. Beautiful. My week was made. I am such a dork.

HOLY SHIT! Check out the next generation design of Volkswagen's Golf GTI!!! It's only out in Germany right now but will be released here in November 2005. Sold! Laser blue. 5 door. 6-speed DSG. 18" wheels. Leather. All the goodies. I'll shut up now.

Feast your eyes, mortals!!

Zombie.

No, not 'Shaun of the Dead'. I'm talking about me. My daily mid-afternoon headache renders me a stumbling, moaning portrait of the living dead. Ouch. Just don't wield any large objects or cricket bats at my head.

In other news of the much cooler sort, we were somehow able to get super (and by that I mean gay, of course) cool tickets to see a a super (gay again) advance screening of Wes Anderson's 'The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou' at the Egyptian Theater next Thursday. It's already sold out though- sorry to any interested patrons, you lose big time. Wes will be speaking after the screening too. The movie is officially slated for its domestic release on December 10th (New York & LA) and the 25th nationwide.

Speaking of Wes Anderson movies, Carlos got to record Jason Schwartzman as a character voice for his upcoming show at Nickelodeon.
Here's some proof from that day:

Check it...

There's a new comic in the weekly section. Soon I'll post some with the new characters I've been working on. These will follow a different storyline and you'll be seeing an issue of that in print later this year. Still deciding on a title.

I'm starting to feel crappy again. That means more loving and sentimentally inspired comics are on the way. Print them out- they'll make delightful Valentine's Day cards for your significant other.

Oslo & Bucket & Work

Here are two suprising stress relievers...

Work is starting to get nuts again. A few more greenlit shows are going into production on top of the 3 we're working on already. Not to mention the upcoming pilots. Everything needs utmost attention. Go "mouse" for making shows in a fraction of the time at a fraction of the cost, my salary certainly not excluded. Good thing there are plenty of scrap note pads around to draw on while things load in ProTools or I'd go completely batshit crazy.

All new to me.

As you can see, this will serve as the new "news" section for the site. This also means you can mouth back and tell me to stop whining and complaining. Woo.

I'm still in the process of redesigning the site in Flash. Please be patient until it's fully operational.
